Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Lower Shore Vision Center the leading provider of vision care products and services in Pocomoke City.

Frank L. Weidema, OD

A Pocomoke native, Dr. Weidema received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and his Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been in private practice at Lower Shore Vision Center since 1990. He is a member of the Maryland Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr Weidema specializes in general optometry, contact lenses, and the treatment and management of eye diseases.

He enjoys spending time with his wife Karen and their children and grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and traveling.


Brooke M. Justis, OD

As an Eastern Shore native, Dr. Brooke Justis is proud to return home and serve as an optometrist at Lower Shore Vision Center. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University, Dr. Justis began her career in eye care at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, as an accelerated scholar’s student. There, Dr. Justis completed her clinical training with honors. This included time in Alaska, servicing remote patients in need with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. Upon graduation, Dr. Justis moved to the Washington, D.C. area, where she gained experience fitting specialty contact lenses. Her other clinical experiences and interests in eye care include neuro-ophthalmic and ocular disease.

When not in the office, Dr. Justis enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Seamus, their cat, Clyde, and the newest family member, Sully, a black Labrador retriever.
